A CYCLIST in her 60s has been left in a life-threatening condition following a crash.
At around 11.30am on Thursday, February 10, a collision occurred on Tower Hill at Netherbury near Beaminster involving a white Vauxhall Grandland X Sport and an electric bicycle.
The cyclist, a local woman aged in her 60s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where she is believed to be in a life-threatening condition. Her family has been informed.
Road closures were put in place as emergency services dealt with the incident and an examination of the scene was carried out.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Chris Brolan, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to conduct enquiries in order to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“I would urge any witnesses or anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.”
