MORE than 150 new jobs are being created at a holiday company.
Waterside Holiday Group has announced ambitious recruitment plans for 2022 as it prepares for a busy holiday season, with seasonal pay increasing to above National Living Wage and more than 150 roles available across its Dorset parks.
The majority of the roles available will be seasonal, with some operating for longer than the traditional season e.g. between February 2022 and January 2023. The number of jobs available is particularly high this year due to the company’s ongoing investment in its parks.
The company is upping seasonal pay rates to £10 per hour for those aged 18 and over, exceeding the new National Living Wage of £9.50 which is due to come into force on April 1. Under 18s will also be paid £9 per hour, marking an uplift on the government rate of £4.81 coming into force for 16-17 year-olds in April.
Allen Main, Group General Manager at Waterside Holiday Group, commented: “All our team, including seasonal staff, work incredibly hard to deliver an exceptional standard of work. Our people are the driving force behind our success at Waterside Holiday Group, so we believe it is essential for our business to demonstrate the same level of support that they give us through offering ample benefits.”
Both seasonal and permanent positions are available across multiple areas of the business including retail, food and drink, security, leisure, and holiday sales.
The company is hosting Recruitment Days in Weymouth at Waterside Holiday Park on Bowleaze Coveway on February 12 and Chesil Vista Holiday Park on Portland Road on February 19. The events will give potential recruits the opportunity to experience different operations first-hand and hear from existing employees from various departments.
Mr Main added: “2022 is set to be an exciting year for Waterside Holiday Group as we continue making substantial investments across our parks to help us continue delivering a five-star holiday experience. Our ongoing success and strong work culture have inspired many of our team to return, year on year, and we are proud to have seen many staff members rise through the ranks to senior levels over the past year. We’re looking forward to welcoming a sea of new talent this year, helping more people realise their long-term career ambitions through Waterside Holiday Group.” Visit: www.watersideholidaygroup.co.uk
