A DRIVER from Somerset has been fined for travelling at almost 30mph above the speed limit on the A35 near Bridport.
Tracey Challinor, whose address was given as Kents Lane, Tatworth and Forton, Chard, was found guilty of exceeding a 50mph speed limit.
The 56-year-old’s case was heard at Weymouth Magistrates Court and was proved using the single justice procedure.
The defendant was clocked travelling at 79mph along the A35 at Miles Cross in April last year.
As a result Challinor was fined £120 by the court, ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and costs of £90.
Her driving licence was also endorsed with five penalty points.
