A man from Dorset has been told to pay a total of £644 for travelling at more than 50mph in a 30mph zone.
Stuart Christopher Ketchley, whose address was given as Sherborne Road, Leigh, was charged with exceeding a 30mph limit on the B3145 near North Cheriton, south west of Wincanton, Somerset.
The 45-year-old’s case was proved against him using the single justice procedure at Bath Magistrates Court on Thursday, January 27.
The charge related to an incident on the B3145 in Somerset on April 10 last year where the defendant was caught travelling at 54mph in a 30mph area.
The court fined the defendant £504, ordered him to pay a £50 surcharge and costs of £90.
Ketchley’s driving licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
