THE UK’s top 10 most instagrammable beaches have been revealed – and to no surprise, a popular Jurassic Coast destination has made the list.
Durdle Door Beach – which includes one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks - has found itself sitting in ninth place on the list.
It comes as no surprise this area, which boasts one of the best places in the UK to look for fossils and study geology, has made this list as it attracts around 500,000 visitors each year.
The beaches are some of the most photographed, with 66.01 hashtags per metre. For Durdle Door itself, the famous archway has more than 264,000 hashtagged photos alone.

Travel experts at LuxuryHotel.com analysed hashtag data and the length of the UK’s most popular beaches to find the ten beaches with the highest ‘hashtags per metre’.
In the top spot is Kynance Cove, located in Mount’s Bay, Cornwall. It has 54,847 hashtags on Instagram and with a length of just 200 metres, this puts it at first place by a large margin with 272.87 hashtags per metre.
In second place is Brighton Beach, which has 913,050 hashtagged Instagram posts to its name. It’s also one of the longest on the list, at three miles in length along the South coast, resulting in 183.05 hashtags per metre.
Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson from LuxuryHotel said: “With the summer of 2022 hoping to be a return to normality as well as good weather, deciding on a beach spot will be one of the hottest topics over the next few months.
“Those who want to snap some beach photography or capture some memories will be delighted that the UK has a huge selection of great destinations on offer all around the country.”
