I NOTICE once again that Richard Drax writes in the Dorset Echo (28/01/22) about European security, Russian war threats to the east, etc.

Last Friday he wrote about the Bristol vandalism of statues, perpetrators given a free discharge from court.

He seems only interested in issues that do not involve south Dorset.
In previous letters in his Friday column he has only spoken about the armed forces and Brexit.

I wonder if he has any interest in his south Dorset constituency and those of us to whom he has a responsibility?

I also notice that in his Echo column (27/01/22) the member for west Dorset was taking issue with the train company, Wessex trains, about the reduced service on the Bristol line. At least he is appearing to support his voters where as Mr Drax does not.

Where is his support for the now terrible London train service? There is a population of about 50,000 in Weymouth and 20,000 in Portland – and yet his surgery is at Winfrith. How does he expect people with issues for him to address to get there and back (a round trip of 30 to 40 miles)?

Come on, Mr Drax, get your priorities right; you are not at the head of government (although it looks like that is your ambition). When did he last appear in Weymouth or Portland, or even Wool or Wareham or Bovington?

The area in which I live (Southill) has no bus service at all (withdrawn about 10 years ago) and yet there is a population of over 1,500 houses (probably more) and an ‘old people’s village’ under construction as we speak.

What help has he given? None. From him I now expect no help whatsoever and certainly will not be voting for him ever.
