A barnstorming evening is in store when a Dorset charity holds a musical fundraiser on Thursday, April 14.

The music event featuring Ben Waters at the Old Brewery Hall, Ansty, will raise funds for the Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust, a charity providing support to young bowel patients and their families.

Support for musician Ben will come from Jack Daniels. Ben Waters is renowned for playing barnstorming sets, rockin’ the house every time, playing the music of his heroes Fats Domino, Huey Piano Smith and Jerry Lee Lewis. He has played with many acts over the years including Ronnie Wood, The Rolling Stones, ,Sir Ray Davies and is currently working with Ronnie Wood, having released a live album called Mad Lad which won much critical acclaim.

Jack Daniels is a hugely entertaining front man who has taken his brand of music and humour to such places as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, America, and New Zealand.

Founder Nettie Drake said: “We are so excited that Ben Waters and Jack Daniels are going to play a gig for us to raise money for the charity. The gig is being held at the venue in which we held our very first fundraising events, so back to our roots. Please join us for what will be a fantastic night!”
