If you have a flock of chickens looking for a special man in their lives – look no further.
The RSPCA Ashley Heath Animal Centre has five gorgeous cockerels in a variety of sizes so you can find your ladies their perfect match.
Introducing a cockerel to your brood does have its benefits. A male chicken will protect the females from danger, search out food for them and maintain the pecking order.
Of course, with a cockerel, you may never need an alarm clock again. And cock-a-doodle-doo is a far nicer sound to wake to than the electronic buzzes everyone’s become accustomed to anyway.

Appointments are being arranged for specific animals but your first step should be to get in touch with the rescue centre to express an interest. You can find out more about the adoption process on the Ashley Heath Animal Centre website.

These five boys are typical cockerels who do crow, however given plenty of space they are happy to do their own thing.
They are looking to be rehomed to existing flocks with ladies of a similar size to themselves.
They will need somewhere they can be free to roam, forage and scratch about with a secure chicken coop in a large enclosed area approximately 12ft by 6ft or larger.
