SINCE the turn of the year a number of planning applications have been submitted to Dorset Council for the Dorchester area.
Applications include plans for extensions, converting a garage, building a new dwelling and converting a retail site into use for a taxi business.
Here are the applications that have been submitted since the beginning of 2022 on January 1:
- Erect single storey side extension to form a large open porch to front, at 7A Barnes Way, Dorchester.
- Erect single storey side and front extension with air conditioning unit and two storey side extension, at 5 Caernarvon Close, Dorchester.
- Remove 17 dead or dying ash trees on the allotment site at St Mary Allotments, Blandford St Mary.
- Crown lift to 3.5m and reduce overhanging branches by 2.5m to a holm oak tree, reduce all limbs overhanging boundary of Friars Close of by 2.5m to a lime and beach tree, reduce an entire canopy by up to 3m and brace overhanging limb (cavity & likely diseased) of a elm tree, reduce overhang by 3m and remove epicormic growth on a main stem to a lime tree and reduce overhang by 2.5m to another lime tree at 40 Alington Avenue, Dorchester.
- Erect a single storey extension, re-model the main roof and add a rear dormer to the roof at 116 Monmouth Road, Dorchester.
- Erect a single storey rear extension at 11 Hurricane Close, Crossways, Dorchester.
- Convert an existing garage into a bedroom at 13 Clarence Road, Dorchester.
- Erect a porch extension to the front, demolish an existing conservatory and extend the lean-to-rear extension at 3 Kingsbere Crescent, Dorchester.
- Change of use from retail to business/offices to run a taxi company at 7 Hardye Arcade South Street, Dorchester.
- Amend the hipped end to a gable end and install two new roof windows at 36 Culliford Road North, Dorchester.
- Installation of an external AC condensing unit to the rear elevation, at 20-20A South Street, Dorchester.
- Erect one dwelling, with covered parking, staff welfare facilities and agricultural storage at Turners Clarkham Cross Halstock to Grexy Cross, East Chelborough, Dorchester.
