AN incident that saw a male 'ditch' a medical kit whilst fleeing police in north Dorset has come to a positive resolution.
Last week we reported how police in Gillingham were trying to locate the owner of medical items that were discarded by a suspect during a police chase in the Lodborne area of Gillingham.
In a positive twist, the owner of said items has come forward - and a man has now been arrested in connection with the incident, police say.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Gillingham - you may remember from a few days ago items were found after being ditched by a male evading police.
"These items were recovered and the owner identified them to us.
"After further reports of a male causing concerns in town on December 17, a person was located and identified as the same person from earlier in the week.
"He was arrested before he could cause any further problems."
