A COUPLE of Christmas puddings will be chased along Weymouth Beach by a gang of Santas this Sunday.
Organisers of the fundraising Chase the Pudding event, the Will Mackaness Trust, have confirmed that the event will still go ahead, with social distancing measures in place.
The 5k event - starting from the Pavillion to the groyne at Greenhill and back again - will also feature cast members of the Christmas panto Aladdin.
The aim is to raise as much cash as possible for the Trust in memory of Will Mackaness, who lost his battle with cancer in 2008 - funds raised will help youngsters learn to sail.
Will's mum Pam Govier confirmed the outdoor fun run is still happening this Sunday (December 19.) Anyone going indoors at any point will be required to wear a mask as per Government rules.
Participants are urged to register online ahead of the event to help with social distancing - but you can also register in-person on the morning.
Registration starts from 9.30am in the Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Room. There will be a warm up at 10.45am on Weymouth Beach, with the race commencing at 11am.
The Chase the Elf race for under 14s will start five minutes after the Chase the Pudding and is a 2km race to the Pier Bandstand and back.
