Mike Hoffman, Principal at Budmouth Academy, said: ''It was great to see the year 11s of 2020 being able to celebrate together as a group on Friday night.
"A school prom is a rite of passage for teenagers and it was such a shame the original Budmouth prom was cancelled due to Covid-19, but Friday more than made up for it.
"Our Assistant Principal, Sophie Ives, worked tirelessly to make it happen and it paid off.
"It was also great to see those students who had left, to go to college for example, so the night also had the air of a reunion.
"The students were a credit to themselves and the academy, ensuring that all had a fun-packed but safe experience. Many thanks to the Portland Sailing Academy for hosting such a truly great event."
