WEYMOUTH's Christmas lights switch-on event will today feature on ITV's This Morning show .
Crowds gathered in New Bond Street on Saturday for the event despite the strong winds caused by Storm Arwen.
The lights were switched on at 4pm, following a day of workshops and activities in the town, with revellers treated to live musical performances and entertainments to kick off the festive season.

This Morning's Josie Gibson, dressed in an elf costume, addressed the crowd as she helped the Christmas lights switch-on.
Now ITV producers revealed the event will be shown on today's This Morning show starting from 10am.
Ms Gibson, the Big Brother series 11 winner, was among the elves aiming to beat the world record for most elves gathering at a place at one time.
It has not yet been revealed whether the world record was beaten during the event on Saturday.
