A MAN who assaulted two women and damaged a desk and door pane belonging to a Weymouth care company has been ordered to pay compensation.

Jared Michael Gallagher, aged 25 and of Weymouth, admitted one charge of criminal damage and two charges of assault by beating.

Appearing at Weymouth Magistrates Court on November 18 he pleaded guilty to without lawful excuse, damaging a door pane and desk of unknown value belonging to Palmer Care, intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

He also entered a guilty plea to assaulting two women. All three offences took place this year on May 9, at two different locations in the town.

Magistrates imposed a community order with rehabilitation activity requirement up to a maximum of 35 days. He was also placed under a restraining order in relation to one of the victims, to whom he must also pay compensation of £300. Gallagher was ordered to pay £100 compensation to the second victim.
