HE large crane set up at Weymouth Harbour has completed its operation to lift a sunken vessel out of the water.
Shortly before 2pm on Thursday the ship was lifted out of the water by the large crane after hours of setting up earlier in the day to ensure the move went smoothly.
After rising from the depths of the harbour the vessel was lifted into the air and onto some stands behind the Weymouth Pavilion.
The lift drew the attention of residents as small crowds gathered near the pavilion and across the water just before the Nothe Fort.

The vessel is confirmed to be the FV Gitte which was listed on the Weymouth Harbour website in December 2020 as for sale by Dorset Council and sunk in early October.
