A MENTAL health charity could be awarded funding for a gardening project - but you need to vote for it.
Customers at Tesco's Dorchester store are eligible to vote for Dorset Mind, a charity supporting local people with mental health challenges, to be awarded a grant of up to £1,500 through the Tesco Community Grants scheme, which offers grants to thousands of community projects and good causes across the UK.
The money will be put towards the charity's Gap Project which provides practical support for people with mental health problems, helping them to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience while connecting with nature and other people.
A spokesman for Dorset Mind said: "We're in the customer vote for a Tesco Community Grant. It's a community project that funds up to £1,500 for our gardening group in Dorchester."
Customers can vote in the store until December 31.
