Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after reports of an early hours break-in.
An investigation has been launched by Dorset Police to locate a man with an eastern European accent, who they believe is connected with a break-in that happened during the early hours yesterday (October 3) in the Burton Bradstock area.
The man, who police said was spotted running off in the direction of Shipton Lane following the reported break-in, is described as six-foot tall and was wearing a red cap, a blue zip-up jacket and jeans.
A spokeswoman from Dorset Police said: "In the early hours of Sunday, October 3 an unknown male with an eastern European accent was disturbed during a break-in to a garage in the Burton Bradstock area.
"The male was attempting to take power tools and ran off in the direction of Shipton Lane.
"He's described as approximately six-foot tall, average build, clean shaven, wearing a red cap, blue zip-up jacket and jeans."
