POLICE are searching for a missing woman who was last seen in Dorchester and is believed to be 'very upset.'
Officers are appealing for information from the public.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.59pm on Sunday 3 October 2021 raising concern for the welfare of 49-year-old Rachel Gamble, who had last been seen in High West Street around an hour before.
Rachel is described as white, five feet six inches tall and with dark hair. She was wearing a yellow or green jumper, shirt and jeans. It is believed Rachel left Dorchester in her car, a silver Citroen C3 with the registration VK55 JLO.
Chief Inspector Glen Doran, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand that Rachel has been very upset recently and we are keen to find her as soon as possible so we can check that she is all right.
“Our enquiries indicate her vehicle may have travelled toward the Charmouth area and I would urge anyone with information as to her whereabouts, or who comes across the car detailed above, to please contact Dorset Police immediately.
“I would also like to make an appeal to Rachel if you see this – please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are. We just want to ensure that you are safe.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Rachel’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 3:481.
