SOUTHAMPTON icon Matt Le Tissier will grace the Hotel Rembrandt for a evening of reminiscing on Friday (7pm).
Former England international Le Tissier, affectionately nicknamed ‘Le God’, scored 209 goals in 540 appearances for the Saints.
The Guernsey-born star carved out a reputation for sublime goals in the Premiership, with an outstanding record in his favoured attacking midfield role.
His visit to Weymouth has been arranged by Dorset Premier League side Balti Sports.
Proceeds from the evening – for which £35 tickets are still available – will help to pay for Balti’s pitch use and equipment this season.
Balti boss Marco Nott told Echosport: “We had Paul Merson down a few years ago, that was a cracking night.

“We’ve gone one further with Matt. There are a lot of Southampton fanatics who are keen to see 'Le God'.
“We’ve had a lot of interest and for someone like Matt to come down, even though he’s reasonably local, is a good thing for the town and club.
“It should be a special evening and something different from your normal Friday night.”
Le Tissier will be joined by a compère who will lead the evening on a footballing journey through Le Tissier’s career.
Ticket holders receive a meal. An auction, raffle and live music will also take place.
