RAIL customers aged 60 and over can now save money on great days out with South Western Railway’s new Senior Savers Club.
From Monday 20 September, those eligible will qualify for at least a third off Off Peak and Advanced journeys, with prices slashed by up to half in some cases.
The savings are significant – a return ticket from London to Bournemouth, for example, is £20 cheaper when booking with the discount. Valid for a period of two weeks and running three times a year, Senior Railcard holders will be entitled to double up on the offer, allowing them to get a further third off their fares.

Peter Williams, Commercial Director at South Western Railway said: “With selected fares being reduced by anything between a third and half price, our discount initiative for the over 60s provides great value for money, allowing them to spend less on travel and more on great days out.
“Whether it’s catching up with family and friends, exploring new places, or revisiting past favourites, our discount initiative means that creating new memories are just a train ticket away.”
