A SLEEPING baby girl was freed from a car after accidentally being locked inside the car.
A fire crew from Bridport was called to Dorchester after receiving a report of a baby locked inside a vehicle at 4.10pm on Monday afternoon (September 20).
After meeting the baby's mother and the vehicle owner, firefighters say they found the 16-day-old baby asleep in the car 'with the car keys blissfully unaware of any issues'.
Crews unlocked the vehicle and were able to retrieve the baby and reunite her with her mother.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "For the third call of the day Bridport crews were mobilised to a 16 day old baby locked inside a car in Dorchester.
"On scene crews met with the mother and owner of the car and found a baby girl asleep in the car with the car keys blissfully unaware of any issues.
"Using specialist tools access was made to the car and after a quick welfare check for mum and baby, crews returned back to home station."
