TWO people have been arrested after a collision involving a pedestrian and a motorhome killed a dog.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.06am on Sunday, September 19 of a crash involving a Talbot Motorhome and a pedestrian who was walking a dog in Compton Avenue, Poole.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 60s from Poole – sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The dog – a West Highland Terrier – died at the scene.
Two 21-year-old men from Poole were arrested on suspicion of driving offences and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Mark Palmer, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation to establish the circumstances of this collision.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please come forward.”
