FIREFIGHTERS have issued advice after being alerted to two emergencies in the Bridport area within a few hours.
A car with its brakes on fire prompted a call to the brigade on Saturday night.
A crew was alerted to Dottery Road (B3162) at 8.30pm and used a hose to cool the brakes while monitoring the with a thermal imaging camera. They then moved the vehicle off the road.

Earlier in the evening a crew was alerted to an alarm sounding at a property.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "You are more than twice as likely to die in a fire at home if you haven’t got a working smoke alarm. Smoke alarms are the easiest way to alert you to the danger of fire, giving you precious time to escape. They are cheap, easy to get hold of, and simple to install.
