ANTI-Covid-19 vaccination protesters carried out a demonstration alongside a busy route in Dorset today (Saturday, September 18).
Photos circulating on social media appear to show a number of people on the grass verge along the westbound side of the A35 Dorchester Bypass.
One passer-by, who was walking home after 12pm, estimated there are 10 to 12 protestors on the westbound side, near to the Broadmayne and Wareham junction, with two more people on the opposite side of the road.
Motorists in the area have reported how the protesters held banners against the Covid-19 vaccine and encouraging drivers to sound their horns in agreement.
The group is protesting against the Covid-19 vaccine and Covid-related restrictions.
Another passer-by said: "It was quite distracting.
"I thought it was a little ridiculous to be on the side of the road distracting drivers as they went on for a little while."
Their presence has sparked a travel alert from Travel Dorset, which states that while there is a demonstration, traffic 'is coping well'.
An update on Travel Dorset reads: "Demonstration on A352 near Broadmayne turn off. Traffic is coping well."
