AUCTIONS will return to a Dorset town this weekend after a six year gap.
There have been no auctions in Wareham for six years but that will come to an end on Sunday, September 19 with the opening of a new auction house.
South Dorsetshire Auctions will begin a busy calendar of auctions this weekend and has roughly 300 items on offer to people looking for a gem.
Auctioneer Mark Croucher said: "Wareham has missed having a truly local auction and we look forward to bringing the hammer down on some bargains for local residents.
"We have everything from diamond rings to railway signs to comic books so there really is something for everybody. And if you can't make it on the day, you can view our catalogue and bid online via our online auction platform.
"We're always happy to have a chat over a cup of coffee from our onsite café, so whether people are buying or selling, I'm sure we can help."
