A 'HOARD' of cannabis was seized in a village in North Dorset.
Police officers seized cannabis plants which were found in a village outside of Gillingham. The plants will be disposed of and the grower is assisting police with their enquiries.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "This small hoard of pre-harvested cannabis was located in a village just outside Gillingham by local Neighbourhood Policing Team and supported by response.
"It's now been seized ready for disposal and the budding grower has been assisting us in our enquiries."
This prompted officers to urge members of the public to report their neighbours if they think they might be growing something illegal. People are encouraged to either report illegal activities to the police or to Crimestoppers, an independent crime-fighting charitable organisation.
A spokesman said: "Concerned your neighbours green fingers may be cultivating something illegal? Do the right thing and call us or Crimestoppers."
