TWO bikers rode into Lyme Regis as part of a challenge to visit 24 RNLI lifeboat stations in four days.
Stuart Morrissey and Paul Brady set off from Dartmouth on Thursday, September 2 to visit all the RNLI stations in the south west over four days to mark the 40th anniversary of the Penlee Lifeboat disaster – a tragedy that claimed the lives of the 16 people.
Mr Morrisey has raised a total of £89,000 for various charities in recent years and the challenge went ahead to raise money for the RNLI.
He said: “I have had a few medical issues, but I simply enjoy helping others whose needs are greater than mine. I am also a keen angler and I might need the RNLI one day.”
Lyme Regis Lifeboat Station was the 21st RNLI lifeboat station visited by Mr Morrissey and Mr Brady in what they named 'the Mad Dash'.
Both men were met by several members of the volunteer crew of Lyme Regis lifeboat when they arrived at the station.
