A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after a crash involving four vehicles on a major route in Dorset.
Police have said one driver has been taken to hospital after the crash on the A37.
Dorset Council has said the A37 is blocked both ways with queues of traffic due to accident between the Yetminster Turn Off and the Chetnole Turn Off.
The 'accident', near to Melbury Osmond, is affecting traffic between Dorchester and Yeovil.
A spokeswoman from Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 8.55am today (Thursday September 9) of a four-vehicle collision on the A37.
"The road has been closed.
"One driver has been taken to hospital.
"Recovery is being arranged for the vehicles."
