AN ORIGINAL artwork sale featuring paintings by a deceased 'talented and prolific artist' will raise money for a hospice charity.
Artwork by Elizabeth Williams will be available to buy on September 19 at The Brownsword Hall in Poundbury. Mrs Williams was one of the area's first residents, moving there with her husband John in 1996 and living there until she died in 2019.
Some of the proceeds from the art sale, which will feature more than 30 original paintings, will be donated to Weldmar Hospicecare, a specialist end of life care provider supporting people living in Dorset. The remainder will go to Mr Williams's ongoing care at Wolfeton Manor care home.
A spokesman for Weldmar said: "Liz was a talented and prolific artist in both oils and watercolours, winning prizes at home and abroad and exhibiting in The Royal Academy.
"Neighbours and friends will remember the greeting cards with prints of her pictures which many of them bought in the past. More will be available on the day."
