THERE is still time to put your view forward on a controversial development on the outskirts of Bridport.
The 760-home Vearse Farm development is currently scheduled to begin in January next year.
The developers say the site, which will also include a new primary school, employment space, local retail and community facilities, as well as accessible open space, will be a 'new sustainable neighbourhood'.
The project, renamed by the development team from Barratt David Wilson Homes (BDW) and Vistry Partnerships, as Foundry Lea, has been controversial since the plans were first proposed and has led to protests, objections and a plea for the Secretary of State to call in the application – which he rejected.
Bridport Town Council and Symondsbury Parish Council put up noticeboards in Bucky Doo Square and Eype Church earlier this month to provide imformation on the project.
Whilst the displays have now been taken down, residents have until Tuesday, August 31 to respond to the developers with their feedback.
Feedback forms can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre on South Street or residents can respond online at www.foundrylea.co.uk/planning
