A NEW celebrity podcast is set to launch from Weymouth and a special meet and greet will be taking place to promote its debut this weekend.
The new Cockney and Scouse Podcast is promoting a new TV drama which is currently in production and will be hosted by star of the show and former Love Island contestant Tyne-Lexy Clarson who will be joined every week by fellow actors David Easter and Stuart Antony, as well as special guests.
Tyne-Lexy will be doing a meet and greet upstairs in the Tropical Turtle on Saturday, August 21 from 3pm to promote the podcast's launch where members of the public will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the podcast hosts.
The Cockney and Scouse TV series revolves around two former special forces veterans who are summoned out of retirement by 'The World Order' to take on missions.
The director, crew and actors have all worked on popular shows including Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, The Bar, The Bill and Silent Witness.
The show, Cockney and Scouse was written and created by David Easter, of Hollyoaks fame, who also plays one of the main characters.
The first episode of the weekly podcast will be filmed and recorded at The Closet nightclub, on Maiden Street at 12pm on Saturday.
The podcast - produced by Dynamite Productions and sponsored by Jackson's Fish and Chips on Frederick Place and Elite Tattoos - wants to get local people involved in the show as much as possible whilst supporting local businesses and will be hosting a number of competitions which will offer prizes such as free meals at independent restaurants in Weymouth.
