THERE has been a new coronavirus death recorded at a Dorset hospital.
Figures released by the NHS show a patient has died of coronavirus at the University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) on Thursday, August 12.
It brings total Covid-19 deaths at the site up to 747 since the start of the pandemic.
The last recorded Covid-19 death at the UHD - prior to the update - happened two days before on Tuesday (August 10).
UHD incorporates the former Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals Trust, as well as Poole Hospital.
Elsewhere, the figures reveal that 114 people have died of coronavirus at DCH since the start of the pandemic.
The last recorded Covid-19 related death at DCH was on Sunday, August 8.
Dorset Healthcare, the trust responsible for community hospitals and mental health care, has recorded 73 Covid-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic, with the last recorded Covid-19 death at Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust was recorded on March 14.
