A DRIVER caught speeding in an Audi saw their vehicle seized - as police officer quipped that Weymouth seafront is 'not a drag strip'.
Officers from Dorset Police No Excuse have been out and about around in Weymouth and Portland in recent days.
An officer shared how an Audi was seen 'wheel spinning away from traffic lights' and reportedly speeding along the Weymouth Esplanade.
The driver was stopped and saw their vehicle seized and reported to court. The driver was previously issued a Section 59 warning for driving offences in July.

A spokesman for Dorset Police No Excuse: "The Audi was seen wheel spinning away from traffic lights and then at excess speed along the Weymouth Esplanade. This is a public road, not a drag strip.
"Only last month the driver was issued a Section 59 for the same thing. Vehicle seized and driver reported to court."
He also disclosed a rider with an expired driving licence and no insurance saw his bike seized in the Weymouth and Portland area.
He said: "The bike was seized with no insurance. The rider had an expired provisional licence with three points on it already!
"Rider reported to court."
