DONATIONS towards the recovery of Dorset motorcycling star Brad Jones have reached more than £20,000.
Jones, 23, was seriously injured after crashing in the first race of British Superbikes round three at Brands Hatch last week.
The Stalbridge man was unconscious at the scene and airlifted to King’s College Hospital, London, with nasty head, chest and pelvic injuries.
Surgeons operated successfully on Thursday to stabilise the pelvic fracture, although Jones remains in an induced coma to aid his recovery.
His family have been ever present at his bedside as an online fundraiser was launched to fund costs incurred while they remain more than 120 miles from home.
