A WEYMOUTH burger restaurant has been named as one of the best in the country.

Lifestyle blog, Stagweb, has rounded up the best places for a burger around the UK for a juicy burger or to catch up with friends.

The burger joints were picked due to various factors including the burgers themselves, range of food on offer, venue, value for money, and the overall experience.

Dorset Burger Company, based on King Street, made the 30-restaurant list along with other places based in the South West dubbed "badass burger joints". 

A spokesman for StagWeb explained the Weymouth restaurant made the cut due to its delicious food and its 'fantastic atmosphere'.

He said: "A more refined burger-eating experience, without pretension and full of flavour, the Dorset Burger Company not only know their way around a burger, but they also know how to cultivate a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy them in.

The Dorset Burger Company currently has a four-and-a-half rating on Tripadvisor, with reviews praising its 'great burgers and great staff'.
