A TEAM from a monkey rescue centre are taking on a walking challenge to raise money to support primates around the world.
A group of staff from Monkey World, near Wool, as well as some supporters will trek 25 kilometres around the Brecon Beacons on September 18 to raise money for the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund (JCMF).
The charity is named after Jim Cronin MBE who founded Monkey World in 1987 and was established to continue Jim's legacy of supporting primate welfare and conservation around the world.
A spokesman for Monkey World has said of the challenge: "We have been told that its going to be tough and will push us all, both physically and mentally.
"None of us are super fit, but we are going to give it our best shot and get every team member over that finish line to raise funds for primate welfare and conservation.
"All funds go to JCMF, who despite having had nearly all fundraising efforts curtailed due to Covid, have continued to support primate welfare and conservation, both here at the park and at projects around the world.
"All donations are much appreciated."
