DORCHESTER’S main square is celebrating the British summertime by hosting a beach-themed event, with a range of activities including live music and a caricaturist.
The event at Brewery Square will take place on Sunday August 1, between midday and 4pm will host live music, including performances Molly Waters and Will, accordionist John Slater, and Ansell & Gretel. Caricature artist Kevin Rye from Rye Smile Caricatures will be at hand to entertain visitors with real-time quirky portraits.
Guests will also be able to play a range of games, cool down with ice creams and kick back in Brewery Square’s staple giant deck chair.
Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said: “The heatwave has reminded us all of the wonders of the British summer, and our guests have loved visiting Brewery Square to bask in the sun while indulging in some retail therapy.
