HEAVY rain, thunder and hail is being forecast for the weekend in Dorset.
The Met Office has warned of potential flooding and transport disruption, with 100mm of rainfall predicted in some areas of the county.
It comes after the county has basked in a heatwave, with temperatures soaring into the high 20s, which is expected to continue until Friday evening.

A yellow weather warning has been put in place from 00.01am on Saturday until 11.59pm on Sunday.
The weather forecasters warn of 'heavy rain, thunder and lightning' which may cause travel disruption and flooding in some places.
There is a possibility of 'torrential downpours' in places, with 20 to 30mm of rainfall in an hour.
The Met Office has told us what to expect:
- There is a chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Where flooding occurs, there's a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
- Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Some communities could be become cut off by flooded roads
- There is a chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Outbreaks of rain and some thunderstorms are expected to spread from the southwest on Friday night.
"This introducing unsettled conditions to much of England and Wales for Saturday and Sunday.
"Heavy, thundery showers are likely to break out by day, particularly on Sunday when these could be widespread and locally torrential.
"Lightning and hail are also expected.
"Rainfall amounts will vary from place to place, but there is the potential for up to 100 mm to build up in some locations over the course of the weekend, much of which could fall in a short period of time."
