HOLIDAY firm Haven has confirmed entertainment facilities at all three of its Weymouth parks have been closed this weekend following 'noise and unruly behaviour’ by some guests at one of its sites.
Holidaymakers enjoying a break on the coast have spoken of their disappointment at the decision, which means they won't be able enjoy tonight's Euro 2020 final at its bars.
All entertainment facilities at Haven's sites in Weymouth - Littlesea, Seaview and Weymouth Bay - have been closed for the entire weekend to protect the safety of visitors and staff.
A number of signs had been placed on the doors around the sites informing guests of the decision along with texts and emails.
Affected guests are being offered partial refunds on their stay if they remain on site, or a full refund if they leave the site.
The closure of bars means that guests wanting to watch the final between England and Italy will instead have to seek alternative venues or watch the game on a TV, smartphone or tablet.
Some guests said they had been looking forward to the prospect of watching the Euro 2020 final with family and friends at bars on site during their holidays.
One disappointed guest said: "We will stay until Monday still as we had been looking forward to this break for months.
"We are disappointed we can't go swimming together as thought that could've stayed open for those that had pre booked.
"We had reserved a table to watch the match in the Showbar tonight but will need to stay in individual caravans now.
"It's sad that a few idiots have spoiled the weekend but we won't let it ruin our first family holiday in Weymouth."
Haven say that a number of alleged serious offences have been reported to Dorset Police and are currently being investigated.
The holiday company has apologised that the 'unforeseen behaviour’ has caused the closure of these facilities.

A spokeswoman for Haven said: "As a result of the intimidating and abusive behaviour of some guests on Friday, July 9, we have taken the difficult decision to close some of our facilities this weekend.
“A number of serious offences have been reported to Dorset Police which are being investigated so we cannot comment further.
“The safety and security of our guests, owners and team remains our number one priority and we believe keeping the facilities open during the weekend would have put others on our park at risk.
“We are very sorry that this unforeseen behaviour has meant we are unable to offer our normal Haven experience. We are offering refunds to those whose breaks have been impacted by these measures.”
