A ROAD will close for repairs after a tractor and trailer crash damaged the route.
A fire crew from Dorchester Fire Station and an ambulance were called to Goulds Hill in Martinstown following a crash on Thursday, July 1.
An ambulance attended and the driver was taken to hospital.
The resulting crash caused damage to the road surface and sand was spread on the road to soak up any oil or fuel. Temporary traffic lights have been in place following the crash in order to calm traffic on the road and to avoid the damaged sections of the road.

Dorset Council has issued a consultation notice to undertake ‘urgent maintenance work’ to repair the road and aim to close Goulds Hill on Friday, July 16 between 9am and 4pm.
A diversion will be signposted in the area to bypass the route, or alternatively, smaller routes are available for drivers to take.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said at the time of the collision: "We were called to Martinstown at 1.27pm on Thursday, July 1 after a tractor and trailer rolled onto its side.
“One crew from Dorchester attended, thankfully the driver wasn’t trapped. Our stop was at 1.47pm."
