Three vehicles have been taken off the road following police patrols.
A van and a car, both blue, were seized by the Dorset Police No Excuse Team in Purbeck yesterday.
A spokesman said: Two vehicles of note were seized for no insurance. The Nissan's owner had failed to complete their credit agreement so the policy was cancelled. Driver issued a fixed penalty.
"The Ford driver came to our attention for using his phone. He wasn't on the van policy, nor did his own comprehensive insurance give him a third party extension. Driver was reported to court."
Meanwhile, Dorchester Police seized a car last night which officers said 'caught their attention'.
A spokesman said: "Officers from the neighbourhood team patrolled Dorchester covering all the anti-social behaviour hotspots. We are pleased to report that there were no issues and all the places we checked were clear of anti-social behaviour. We did spot a vehicle that caught our attention. As a result the vehicle was seized and the driver reported for traffic offences."
