FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle an unattended bonfire yesterday.
Crews from Bridport Fire Station and Beaminster Fire Station were called out to Broadwindsor at 12.30pm yesterday to tackle a fire in a field.
Bridport's 4X4 appliance was mobilised and two hose reel jets were used to dampen down the surrounding area and prevent any further spread of the fire.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said:"If you're planning on a bonfire contact us and give details. This can prevent any unnecessary calls."
