THREE homes could be built in the grounds of 531 Chickerell Road if Dorset Council agree a planning request.
The application includes the creation of 12 parking spaces for the three homes, all of which will be two storey detached and have four or more, bedrooms.
A design report says the new homes will take up about two thirds of the existing 0.33 hectare site to the east and south of the existing house. The plot is on the south side of the road and overlooks the heritage coast.

It claims the houses will blend into the surrounds using natural materials and muted colours with their heights restricted to 6.8metres and space allows for those who want to work from home.
The site was granted outline, or in principle, consent for three houses in November 2019 with changes now made to those proposal to take into account comments by planning officers – including better respecting the privacy of neighbours.
The application says materials for the new homes will be sourced from local suppliers to reduce the transport carbon footprint with high levels of insulation and the possible use of air source heat pumps with underfloor heating and the garages to have an electric car charge point.
Comments on the application, ref P/FUL/2021/00833, remain open until June 16th.
