RESIDENTS are being invited to a fundraising family picnic that is being held in Weymouth this coming Bank Holiday.
The picnic is being held on May 31 at the field outside The Top Club, Louviers Road, Littlemoor, hosted by Littlemoor Youth Club.
The event will run from 2pm to 4pm and families can just turn up without needing to book beforehand. There will be an opportunity to buy refreshments, and all proceeds will go back into the Youth Club. Funds raised will go towards providing activities and equipment for young people on Littlemoor.
Organisers say that all safety measures will be taken to ensure the event falls in line with the latest government guidelines. Community organisation Big4Littlemoor will be at the event, along with Helping Hands - a support, signposting and referral service available to all Littlemoor residents. Those unable to make it will have other opportunities as the event is to be part of a series: picnics will be held every three weeks, with the next happening on June 20.
