BRITISH chilli eating champion Shahina “Chilli Queen” Waseem will make a guest appearance at a food festival in Bournemouth.
And she's challenging local people to take her on as part of the Foodies Festival at Kings Park.
The three-day gourmet food drink and music event will be in town from September 17-19.
West Londoner Shahina, who recently appeared on ITV’s Game Of Talents, is set to go into the chilli eating hall of fame later this year with 100 consecutive contest wins.
She relishes every challenge, and said: "The pressure to win is immense. I’ve come up against some very strong opponents – men and women. That’s what I love about chilli-eating contests, it’s a form of extreme competitive sport which is not affected by age or gender."
The Foodies Festival will feature MasterChef and Bake Off champions, more than 50 music acts and gastronomic delights from around the world.
Festival Director Sue Hitchen said: "I am delighted to bring Foodies Festival to Bournemouth, celebrating the delicious local produce and wonderful restaurants in Dorset, as well as recognising its great seafood."
