A TOTAL of 12 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Dorset within the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures.
The latest Government figure shows 12 new cases were recorded across Dorset within the latest 24-hour period up to Sunday May 16.
There were six new case recorded in the Dorset Council area. Since March 2020, there has been 11,956 Covid-19 cases confirmed across the Dorset Council area.
The number of coronavirus cases over the latest rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council area is 29 cases, with a case rate is 7.7 per 100,000 people.
There were six new cases recorded across the BCP Council area during the same period. The total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in this area now stands at 25,447.
The rolling seven-day period for the BCP is 45 cases, with a case rate is 11.4 per 100,000 people.
The total number of coronavirus cases recorded across Dorset since the start of the pandemic is 37,403.
In the New Forest, there was one new coronavirus cases recorded within the last 24-hour period, bringing the total for the area up to 6,227.
The seven-day period for New Forest is 14, with a case rate of 7.8 per 100,000 people.
