A MAJOR Dorset road is closed following a crash involving two vehicles.
The A35 eastbound is closed between Monkeys Jump Roundabout and Stadium Roundabout due to a crash involving two vehicles at Monkeys Jump Roundabout, near Dorchester.
Police and ambulance staff are at the scene and a man is being treated by paramedics.
The road has been closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
A spokesman for Dorset Council said: "We received a report at 12.05pm of a two-vehicle collision at the Monkeys Jump Roundabout near Dorchester. Officers have attended along with the ambulance service and road closures have been put in place while the emergency services deal with the incident.
"A man is being treated by the ambulance service."
Congestion to westbound traffic is queuing for four miles due to people slowing down to look. Bridport road is slow through Dorchester as traffic diverts. Travel time is 25 minutes.
