THERE have been a total of nine new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Dorset over the last 24 hours.
Data released by the Government show nine cases were recorded in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Tuesday, April 27.
Three people across the Dorset Council area tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 11,871 cases in this area.
The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area has recorded six new cases over the same time period, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 25,315.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 37,186 confirmed cases of coronavirus across Dorset.
Figures show an increase of 103 cases across the south west, with a total of 220,819 recorded since the start of the pandemic.
A total of 1,829 new cases have been recorded across England - bringing the total up to 3,854,733 since the start of the pandemic.
Across the whole of the UK, 2,658 new cases of the Covid-19 virus were recorded taking the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,409,631.
