Just over the fence from the bandstand in Greenhill Gardens, Weymouth, is a large mosaic which was built some years ago.
It is sited on the Esplanade and features many local scenes. As a result of the action of wind and rain some of the tiles have worked loose and disappeared. The Friends Group have started work on this mosaic to bring it back to its former glory.
We often get asked about the Greenhill Gardens Chalets. A group of them facing the sea have just been refurbished and look really colourful.
The Community Trust that now looks after them have ongoing plans to carry out repair work to many of the others. There is a waiting list for them and enquiries about hiring one should go to Greenhill Community Trust CIC Ltd. (E: gct@gmx.co.uk T: 0794 3641091)
Thank you to visitors and locals for supporting the Friends Group and the work of the Weymouth Town Council Gardeners.
