THE Dorset area has seen an increase of 24 new cases of coronavirus within the last 24 hours, Government figures have revealed.
The Dorset Council area recorded 13 new cases, taking the total for the area to 11,765 since the start of the pandemic.
The BCP Council area recorded 11 new cases, taking the area's total to 25,191.
Across the south west region there were 125 new cases, bringing the total to 219,018.
A total of 2,236 new cases have been recorded across England - bringing the total up to 3,814,424 since the start of the pandemic.
Across the whole of the UK, 2,762 new cases of the Covid-19 virus were recorded taking the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,362,150.
